Sram Force 22 may just be the kit for you…welcome to the corny start of my latest review, it can only get better right? Sram joined Shimano and Campagnolo this year adding the 11th gear, hence the impressive marketing name of “22.” I have personally been a huge fan of the function and ergonomic feel of Sram components. The positive engagement of the rear shifting and slight gear mesh makes for crisp shifts signaling to the pilot you are in gear and ready to put the power to the pedals. This year I pre-ordered two Sram Force 22 kits in anticipation of the redesigned lever, derailleurs, and the addition of the elusive 11th gear. At this point, I have spent one cyclocross season and approximately six months on the road testing the equipment before putting together my analysis.
